Hey there, fellow sufferer of June in Florida,

It is hot.

I know. Groundbreaking observation.

But I need you to understand that I stepped outside yesterday for approximately forty-five seconds and came back a different person. A sweatier, more humbled person who has made peace with never leaving the house again between May and October.

Mr. Mav, who grew up here and has apparently evolved past having normal human temperature responses, looked at me dripping in the doorway and said "it's really not that bad today."

I closed the door. I went back to my desk. I did not engage further.

The AC is my best friend. The dogs agree. We are all staying inside and reading books and I have never felt more correct about a life choice.
