Hey there, fellow survivor of things nobody warned you about,

For the past two weeks, my house has been a hormonal warzone.

Ten dogs. Multiple in heat. Simultaneously.

I won't go into the full details because this is a romance newsletter and not a nature documentary, but I will tell you that the whining alone has been enough to make me question every life choice that led to this moment. Mr. Mav has been walking around with the expression of a man who deeply respects animals and is currently reconsidering that position.

We are fine. Everyone is fine. The dogs are being dramatic and I am being supportive and also slightly unhinged.

I'm just going to say it.

Hotshot has been out for weeks. I know people are reading it β€” I can see the page reads. But the reviews are quiet and reviews are everything for a book's visibility on Amazon.

Five. I have five.

If you've read Hotshot and loved it β€” I am asking you, genuinely, as your favorite slightly sleep-deprived author with ten hormonally psychotic dogs β€” please leave a review.

It does not have to be long. It does not have to be eloquent. "I loved this book and Jack Henderson can ruin my life" counts. Two sentences. One sentence. A collection of adjectives. I will take it.

Here's why it matters: Amazon's algorithm uses reviews to decide who sees the book. More reviews means more visibility means more readers means I can keep writing books for you. It is directly connected to whether Ghost gets written on a reasonable timeline or whether I am door dashing until 2028.

I'm not being dramatic. I'm being honest.
